College of Education Travel Grant Application and Submission 2025-2026

Description:

About College of Education Travel Grants and Graduate School Conference Presentation Awards

You may use this application form to apply for both College of Education Travel Grants and Graduate School Conference Presentation Awards

Both of these opportunities are exclusively for graduate students who are making presentations at professional conferences and who do not have other sources of funding. Students should investigate other sources of funding before applying for these opportunities.  Many conferences provide travel funds for graduate students. In addition, divisions or subgroups within larger organizations often provide funding for students (for example, divisions within AERA). Check conference and organization websites for potential opportunities.

The maximum award amount is $300 (or up to $500 for international travel).  Students who apply must have had their work accepted for presentation at a recognized conference and must be able to provide documentation of approval.

College of Education Travel Grants are managed by the College of Education’s Office of Student Services and qualified applications are approved on a first come, first served basis until funds are depleted.  In most years, funds become depleted by mid-May.

Graduate School Conference Presentation Award applications are submitted to the Graduate School by staff in the Office of Student Services. Each application is evaluated individually by the Graduate School and approved or not approved based on both the merit of the request and the availability of funds. College of Education staff have no involvement in decisions about these awards.

There are a several other subtle ut important differences between these two conference & travel support opportunities:
